Just finished listening to an interesting ‘debate’ on Womens Hour about women who wear heels.  More specifically feminists who wear heels. I refuse to discuss this. Am not entirely clear on the difference between muslim clerics telling women to be empowered by dressing ‘modestly’ and people telling me that their definition of feminism, means that I should empower myself by dressing in a way that they think is appropriate. Am looking forward to the same debate, questioning whether a man wearing a full brogue, a classic oxford, or a pair of trainers,  is saying something about his gender.
